Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications to the Court of Protection

You may have a relative who requires assistance in dealing with his or her financial or welfare decisions.

You may yourself be concerned that there will come a time that you will not be able to make financial and welfare decisions alone.
White & Co can assist and advise you on these issues and, if you wish, prepare on your behalf Lasting Powers of Attorney relating to financial matters and Welfare Issues.

In such a document you would choose who you would wish to assist you and/or make decisions on your behalf if you are incapable.
White & Co will also assist you if you need to deal with the affairs of an incapable friend or relative who has not granted Power of Attorney to anyone.
We can advise you through the application to the Court of Protection to become a Deputy of your relative’s financial affairs, completing forms and making the relevant application on your behalf.

“I was made to feel at ease from my first meeting with the receptionist through to the secretaries, solicitors and barristers at court. I felt that I was listened to and everything was explained to me in a language that I could understand. I would recommend White & Co for anyone needing advice or help with court proceedings about their children.”
